Embark on a Spiritual and Cultural Odyssey to India with Seth Monk

Get ready for a transformative journey to the mystical lands of India from October 11-25 2024 with Seth Monk!

This trip promises to be an enriching experience filled with adventure, spiritual awakening, and a deep immersion into the vibrant cultures and landscapes of India.

Detailed Itinerary:

Day 0: Arrive in Delhi, we pick you up and bring you to the hotel to meet your fellow travelers and gear up for a beautiful, crazy, and magical adventure!

Day 1: Begin your journey with a tour of Delhi, visiting the bustling spice market and the serene Baha’i Temple.

Day 2: We’ll fly to the Tibetan mountain town of Dharamsala where you’ll settle in and get your first view of the Himalayas

Day 3: After breakfast we will visit the Dalai Lama’s monastery and pray together with the monks and community. Afterwards we will visit some local Tibetan shops and enjoy some traditional foods.

Day 4: After breakfast we will hike across town to visit the Bhagsunath waterfall, an ancient holy spot, and then explore this part of town known for it’s little shops and backpackers.

Day 5: We will drive a few hours out to Bir where we will make the jump together with an exhilarating mountain paragliding experience. After our feet are back on the ground, we will visit a Tibetan Monastery in the Karma Kagyu tradition and potential receive a blessing from the Venerable Tai Situ Rinpoche.

Day 6: We wake up and embark on our Indian Safari Day, as we make the long drive from Dharamsala to Amritsar, seeing the sites of the Himalayan roads and stopping for local food on the way. After a rich day of travel, we will arrive in Amritsar for the night.

Day 7: Wake up and visit the Golden Temple, the sacred center of the Sikh religion. This will be a peaceful morning of mass prayer and meditation. We will then travel to the India/Pakistan border for a showing of the guards in the famous Wagah Border display. We will then return back to the Golden temple for an evening stroll and to enjoy the night vibes.

Day 8: After an early rise we will begin our Indian Train Adventure to Rishikesh! Lounge in the sleeper beds, sit between cars and watch the landscape pass, chat with locals, and enjoy the chai wallahs that come through at every stop. This is an awesome, exciting, authentic Indian experience.

Day 9: Wake up in Rishikesh and explore this famous site which is both an ancient holy site and a modern yoga hub. In Rishikesh, we travel to the Beatles Ashram and sit in the same meditation chambers the band visited many years ago, and enjoy the local tribes of monkeys the now live there. After some sightseeing by foot we will travel into Rishikesh for food, shopping, and a visit to the holy Ganges river.

Day 10: After breakfast, we will drive to an ashram from Neem Karoli Baba, teacher of Ram Dass and Krishna Das. We will then have time to explore the neighboring holy town of Haridwar where people bathe in the Ganges for purifcation rituals.

Day 11: Group Choice Day: This day is open for the group to have free or decide on an activity. Did you see a post for a yoga class or workshop? A restaurant you wanted to sit at? Wanted time to journal by Ganges? Think of this an integration day, to simply be and enjoy.

Day 12: We’ll wake up and flow a bit with our day. We will eventually drive to Agra, where will watch an evening theater play on the Taj Mahal’s epic story and retire for the night.

Day 13: For this last tour day we will visit the Taj Mahal in the early morning, take photos and marvel at this Wonder of the World before eating breakfast and then visiting the famous Agra fort. Afterwards we will drive the 2 hours back to Delhi for our last night together.

Day 14: Today we will say our goodbyes and fly home, with our heart full of memories and our suitcases full of souvenirs.

The price of this journey is $3,800 which includes: accommodations, breakfast and dinner meals, bus and plane travel, entrance fees, tips. The price does not cover lunch (approx $5), and your flights to and from India. Those can be booked individually using the arrival and departure dates as your reference points.

A $500 deposit is necessary to reserve your spot by July 1.
